Happy new year to you all...what a wonderful summer we are having here in New Zealand!
To start the year, we wanted to give you some dates to plug into your calendar before 2008 whizzes ahead....so read on for these.
Our coaching retreat will be held on 16 and 17 October at the Heritage Hotel, Queenstown. Go to http://www.coachmecca.com/wa.asp?idWebPage=32328 for more information on the event and to register.
For those of you who are interested in speaking, or know someone else who may be, the Call for Papers closes on 15 February. This document is available from our Coachmecca.com website. We are excited by the calibre and variety of submissions to date.
If you know anyone keen on sponsoring the event, or interested in a promotional table, please forward us their contact information, or send them the Sponsorship information from our website www.coachmecca.com. We are thrilled with the interest in sponsorships, and with the uptake of our naming rights sponsorship position by Coach U and Corporate Coach U.
We have a keen skier who will be heading off down the Queenstown slopes ... in a flash of pink ... after the coaching retreat. Belinda Merry is eager to have other coaches join her for a fun weekend. If you are interested, please let us know and we will put you in touch with Belinda.
We are continuing to sell and upgrade our Coach Practice Management Software System - Coachmecca Business Builder (http://www.coachmecca.com/afawcs0132131/CATID=2/SUBID=4/ID=28/SID=922825338/productdetails.html). For all users, or would-be users, we have regular training calls. Please see our website for information on the next dates and teleconference details. The next call will be on 12 February from 3.30 - 4.30. Remember that if you are new to the software, we do recommend that you have had a play before coming to the training call.
See attached pcbs advertisement from Belinda Merry, Merrymentality.
Move yourself and your coaching practice forward 1000%. Have you read The 4-hour work-week by Timothy Ferriss? – www.fourhourworkweek.com
It's a great read all about revolutionising the way we work for greater effectiveness, more time-out & adventures, and higher income. From simple tips to only checking e-mail at 1 or 2 set times a day and creating an autoresponder that alerts e-mail senders to this, to outsourcing virtually all aspects of your life, this book has it all. Some of the things we really enjoyed are Ferriss' focus on TDI (target daily or 'W' weekly income versus lump sum annual figures), mini-retirements (holidays & adventures spaced frequently through working life) and the fact that 'less is not laziness' (contrary to popular societal belief!).
We think it's well worth a read for business owners & coaches who desire a better work-life balance, employees looking to move away from full-time employment, and anyone looking for ideas around developing business streams that require little input from you.
Have a super 2008. May it be your best year ever!
Warm wishes Ruth and Saskia
