  Our Conference Charity

Our Conference Charity

This year we are proud to support the Kea Education and Community Coaching Trust Trust as our conference charity. Its objectives are to promote the benefits of coaching and coach-like behaviour in schools, and to foster coach-like behaviour in school management and teachers. The charity also supports not for profit organisations. Coachmecca has decided on this charity because we want to fully support a charity directly related to coaching, our coaches and the beneficiaries of coaching. Also, in our support of Coach Trust, we have stipulated certain charities for coaching as put forward by our participants, including RNZFB, Tear Fund and Cure Kids.

The Kea Trust has been set up to provide managers and those in leadership roles within schools and NGO's with access to free professional coaching and low cost training on coaching. Coaching is also available to the clients of NGO's. All coaches are either members of the International Coaching Federation, or an equivalent professional body, and provide the coaching for free, or by being funded by grants.

  Conference Theme

The 2008 Coaching Retreat theme is BE INSPIRED, CONNECTED & INFORMED.

Inspiration – Take 2 days away from work in a stunning location, add in an inspiring line-up of coaching-related speakers, mix in a whole lot of like-minded people with an intention to make a difference, (oh, and if you like, add in an indulgent massage at the on-site day spa to finish), and you’ve got a recipe for inspiration and rejuvenation!

Connection – The event will bring coaches together, providing a forum to connect with coaching contacts and friends, meet new ones, share learnings, and enjoy spending precious time with other coaches as a collective.

Information – the 2-day programme will offer an excellent line-up of speakers, drawing on successful coaches and business people from both sides of the Tasman. All experience levels and types of coaching (personal, executive, business) will be catered for, and there will be much to inspire and inform everyone.

  Retreat Location - Queenstown

Retreat Location - Queenstown

Queenstown offers many contrasts. Where else can you jet boat down a river at 100 km/hr, go on a winery tour, have a luxury spa package, and look at breathtaking scenery, all within one day?

There are a wide range of activities on offer, from excellent ski fields and a thriving adventure sports sector, to the more sedate vineyard tours, horse riding, golf, and scenic cycle tracks. There is also excellent nightlife, whether you want to have a relaxed, intimate meal or stay out all night! The shopping is great, with many local labels on offer, alongside international designers.

Accommodation in Queenstown ranges from the affordable to the opulent, and with over 200 places to stay, we are sure you will find something perfect!

Travel to Queenstown is affordable, with prices averaging about $240 return from within New Zealand, and about $650 return from Australia. It gets more expensive with time, so get in quick and book cheaper flights and while you're at it, take advantage of our earlybird special!
